The grapes come from a single vineyard near the town center of St. Pauls, known as Magröll. The site faces the Bolzano Basin, benefiting from the evening sun and an extended ripening period.

The Lagröll is a deep, dark Lagrein Riserva, aromas of dark cherries and blackberries, with hints of violet, dark chocolate and tobacco. On the palate, the wine displays power and depth, with grainy tannins and a silky texture. Lagröll combines the variety’s characteristic density with elegance and freshness.

  • Vineyard

    The vineyards are located south on 380-420m above sea level. They are defined with alluvial soils with calcareous moraine gravel.

  • Age of the vines
    21-26 years
  • Vinification

    Controlled, slow fermentation in stainless steel and 15 months in tonneaux, followed by 10 months of additional bottle ageing.

  • Pairing recommendations

    The wine pairs perfectly with red and dark meats, beef tartare, braised veal cheeks, red cabbage and polenta. It also harmonizes beautifully with rack of lamb and beetroot carpaccio.
