THE MOUNTAIN WINE
In the past, when South Tyrol was mainly a land of red wines, the hilly area around the Plötznerhof above Boymont Castle offered a chance to the Pinot Bianco grape. The meeting of bleak limestone soil and heat-retaining, quartz-rich porphyry rock paired with cool mountain winds create ideal conditions for a Pinot Bianco with considerable depth of soul – back then as today.
