The vines planted at the end of the 19th century on an extreme hillside in Missian mark one of the oldest vineyards in South Tyrol. The grapes, which have been handpicked with the utmost care under meticulous work and the extremely low yield, form the valuable basis for our Pinot Blanc 'Sanctissimus'. The grapes are mashed in amphorae with the skins and ferment slowly for a few months. The wine finds its natural balance after a maturing process in a large oak barrels. The multi-layered vintage 2019 promises a complex aroma experience and develops very dense and mineral on the palate. A nice match between acidity, fruit and complexity characterizes this Pinot Blanc. Its brilliant straw-yellow color is accompanied by a complex nose with notes of ripe apple, fine spicy nuances, and a hint of sage. On the palate it's voluminous and juicy, on the finish creamy and persistent.
