Up there in the mountains on ancient limestone soils and down there in the middle of the forest, near the lake on deep clay soils, grows our Bergspiel. The grapes for this Riesling are harvested in three vineyards that could not be more different. This unique interaction creates a wine that is as fresh as the mountain air.
Elegant aromaprofile of apricot, white melon and quince, paired with subtle notes of lime zest, fresh thyme but also flint. Taut acidity with a firm body and rich flavor. A playful mouthfeel.
Deep limestone debris. Vineyards at middle to very high altitude in Appiano-Monte, Monticolo and Fiè allo Sciliar (400 -900m)
Slow fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks and maturation on fine yeast
